Back to the dissertation. Its hard to believe, but even at this stage I find the process very intimidating. It reminds me of an old commercial. A boss walks into an office, tells this guy he wants him to fly all over the country, stop in a dozen places, talk to 20 people, and do all these grandiose things. The guy tells his boss, Sure. Ill take care of it. Ill get it done. No problem. The boss leaves his office and the guy wonders out loud, How am I going to do that? Listening to Steely Dan as motivational music. Steely Dan serves most any occasion and God knows their lyrics cover the waterfront. The song title, Pretzel Logic certainly seems on point even if the lyrics themselves arent applicable. I dunno. This live version may be even better than the original. BTW, I dont know if you pray, think good thoughts, send karma, etc., but whatever you do, Id appreciate if youd send some to my buddy, Pastor Kevin. Hes a scrapper, but hes going through a tough patch right now. Get well my friend.
