Back when I worked in the public sector, in an office on Albert Street, I caught the bus to work. It was great. It picked me up outside my home, I spent the trip talking to friends, reading, listening to music, and even sleeping (my friends knew when to wake me). These days I have to travel to Onehunga by car to work; it’s not great. The Northern Express has made public transport to the city convent. But a lot of people from the North Shore work past the city in areas such as Penrose. One way of providing the same convent public transport to these people would be to build a North-Western express bus service along the Western Motorway Network. A service like this could either provide express buses to areas like Onehunga/Penrose or it could link up to train services in these areas.
