Background info: 8/7/93- I was with my aunt, uncle, and 3 cousins. We were attempting to visit family members before leaving to enjoy a theme park the next day. We went to their house several times, but they werent home. We decided to head back home around 11 p.m. My cousin and I laid down the back seat and fell fast asleep. Meanwhile, a young couple approximately 21 yrs old were coming back from attending a theme park and church and fell asleep at the wheel and hit us head on. I flew out of the back window of the car and landed in a ditch filled with water. The first person on the scene got me out and sat me up in the middle of the road with a broken back, neck, left arm, and right leg in 2 places, and a collapsed lung. Everyone else was trapped in the cars. It killed the couple that hit us as well as my uncle and cousin (who was more like a sister). I remember the helicopter ride to Louisville. I was sooooo thirsty and couldnt feel a thing. I kept saying, You stupid people... Im fine... I just want a drink of water, and I wanna go home. I thought my mom was in the helicopter with me, but there was no possible way she could have been. Ive always said it was an angel sitting there with me.
