Backing up to yesterday, day 3 at Findlandia University in Hancock, MI. We started our time there with checking into the dorm, where we slept for the evening. We then went to the dining hall where the cook fixed us up a special lunch. We then met Travis, the Admissions person, who gave us a tour of the University. Soren, the campus pastor gave us a tour of the chapel and campus ministry. He then introduced us to professor Debbie, who gave us our service project. Debbie has started a new granted program called The Servant Companion Project. They are renovating a house for student servant companions to live in this fall. The kids did a variety of tasks to help them including scrubbing radiators, sanding wall trim and cleaning blinds. We then had a great feast in downtown Houghton at a nice restaurant. We ended the night with a movie and devotions.
