Backstory: I lost my mother young. I was six when she passed. Im forty-two now, and have already outlived her. Among the few things of hers that made it to me (mainly because my father didnt take care of her stuff, for his grief or what have you) is a decent watch, a pair of beaded earrings, and the lyrics to a Bee Gees song she wrote on the back of an envelope. Ironically, it was Stayin Alive, which was released the year before she died. My SMITH Magazine | The Six Word Memoir Project [in MOMS]:
