Bad day in the Bushell household...I had lower wisdom tooth removal and jaw bone surgery, then while Im recovering my little guy Santino got outside. When I found him he was bleeding on his right flank. And crying under a low suspended car..so I checked him out, listened to his breathing, and checked his gums and eye dialation...and ended up cleaning out what turned out to be a nasty puncture hole about 3 mm wide and deep. No profuse bleeding after applying firm pressure for appx 10 min. I wound up cleaning it with mixture of clean filtered water and peroxide, packing it with combat gauze from my aod kit and putting a pressure dressing on it until I can get him to the vet in the morning..man has anyone here ever performed first aid on a wounded cat?? Anyone? No? Oh well. Its not as easy as a man lol. I dont know the first thing about feline anatomy. .plus Im high on percocet.
