Bad day on Saturday. Had to lay down in the afternoon. I went back to the workshop in the evening to try to keep occupied and the mind off of medical issues. I resumed work on the Universal antenna mount compression hub Type III. Installed the expedient radials, then tested at VHF and UHF. Readings looked great. This system was developed in case the chrome universal antenna hubs used by my ARES team are discontinued from manufacture in the future. This new hub can be fabricated quickly and can be switched between UHF, NMO, and 3/8x24 connections in seconds by simply dropping in the appropriate connector cap. A quick twist of the compression and its tight. This hub can be U bolted to a fixed or expedient mast. Im also creating adapters so it will be interoperable with my PVC mounting systems, as well as, fiberglass/aluminum masting.....Will be making one up for Sandwich EMA for testing......Feels good to have produced another useful item......
