Bad judgement continue to follow Andrew Keili like a man - TopicsExpress

Bad judgement continue to follow Andrew Keili like a man marker!!!!! One of the greatest quotes of recent years can be discovered in the boxing movie Rocky Balboa. During a scene when Sylvester Stallones fabled character is talking to his son about a job he is unhappy in, Balbao suggests that attitude to life tells you everything you need to know about a man. Here are some facts you need to know of. Firstly, that Andrew Keilie has already appeared before the Parliamentary Committee on Appointments and Public Services this past Friday, 11th July 2014 and this committee is chaired by the APC Majority Leader. Secondly, Andrew Keilie has already been interviewed by the Appointments Committee and on Tuesday he will only be Approved by the House for his new appointment. Thirdly, Andrew Keilie has only been appointed as a Board member and NOT a Board Chairman (I am not sure Pres. Koroma would have been that generous to his friend). Fourthly, Andrew Keilie and then Ernest Koroma had been friends for long time working closely in the board of NASSIT during the SLPP days. ANDREW KEILI (Alleged Moral Leader): A moral leader is someone who holds the government to account, providing a consistent and a clear message for the SLPP, providing alternative and credible solutions to the government failed agenda, speaking up for the rights of our oppressed people; focusing attention on the plight of our people. Andrew Keili wrote: I must apologise to some of you for not having updated you on my appointment to the Electricity and Water Regulatory Commission. This is not an oversight as I really did not feel this would be a problem for various reasons..... As the speech in Rocky Balboa tells us, difficult times reveal true strength of spirit, resolve and character, and a willingness to keep going in times of adversity. Josephine Koroma and Dr Kelfala Kallon examine a case for Andrew Keilis bad judgement. In politics as in life, your association matters. This was what Joseph Koroma had to say: But the idea that any SLPP member is opposed to Andrew Keilie to accept a job that his friend, Pres. Koroma offered him is ridiculously absurd. After all, for over many years Andrew Keilies company has been awarded huge contracts by APC Government and he is unashamed of those APC contracts which he has immensely benefitted from. Even majority of SLPP members know it has always been part of the reason why the “Ponder My Thoughts” will never ponder on the failures of this APC government. For few also who think that Andrew Keilies acceptance of his appointment is about patriotism, well there are many ways to show your patriotism other than to be used as a Political Window Dressing in an incompetent government which have kept us in perpetual darkness for seven years. I have tried to reason with Andrew Keili and others for making such decision but I could find any. Andrew Keili Was amongst the group that formed the Break away group called MTS before the last general election. Many believed this was a sabotage that contributed to the demise of our party. They are prepared to work with President Koroma presumably in the national interest. ..hmmmm....But they couldnt work with Julius Maada Bio to save our Party. President Koroma heads the most corrupt and dysfunctional government in our countrys history. By his own admission, the President has sacked numerous officials for corrupt practices. And yet, some folks are only too eager to work for this evidently corrupt regime. I wonder why it is so easy to break bread with the President (giving him the benefit of the doubt) and yet refuse to work with Julius Maada Bio to save our party and fight for our peoples rights. Dr Kelfala Kallon in trying to understand if Andrew Keili was cut out for the top job, questioned what is now his biggest flaw. This was how DR Kallon responded to Andrew Keili for another poor judgement when Andrew Keili vicious attacked Dr S S Banya: When two people (a relative and a close friend of my wife) canvassed me to support you in the last campaign for the SLPP presidential nomination, they touted your intellect, integrity, reasonableness, and good judgment as key attributes that make you fit for the job. In addition to a candidate’s ability to win the presidency, I believe that good judgment (what Americans call presidential temperament) is one of the most important qualities that any presidential contender must have. This is because a president’s most important task is to use good judgment to appoint capable people to do the heavy lifting. With a capable cabinet, an effective civil service, and an honest judiciary (all borne out of the good judgment of the presidents who nominate them), any country can run itself without a president. Indeed, Ronald Reagan proved this to be true by sleeping through most of his presidency and still accomplishing much. It is this good judgment that many of Andrew Keilis supporters continually tout as one of his best qualifications for not only the nomination of our party but also for the presidency itself. It is therefore unfortunate, in his opinion, that Andrew Keili failed to exhibit his alleged good judgment in his recent response to Puawui, an elder who—in spite of mistakes he might have made in the past—has shown that he puts the SLPP above himself and all else. This is even evident in his concluding paragraph of the article to which Andrew Keili took umbrage. Andrew Keili is also in the habit of referring to the SLPP supporters in derogatory terms like Paopa or Rabble Rousers. If he really wants to be considered for the top judge, he should have some serious advisers around him. I would leave you with this thought from Dr Kallon. I often remind people that we in the SLPP should copy Ronald Reagan’s eleventh commandment, which is: “Thou shalt not speak ill of another Republican”. Hence, but for the fact that those of us who will support any candidate that emerges as the party’s nominee will not want you or any other aspirant to so singlehandedly attempt to destroy their chances in the contest as you have by your very intemperate response to Puawui, I would have kept my peace in this case. Mr Andrew Keili, I want you to Ponder Your Thoughts on this one. Our government has failed time and time again to demonstrate good faith in putting the peoples agenda first. Endless corruption, a totally dysfunctional government apparatus and bloated wasteful bureaucracy. The system isnt working; no water, electricity or jobs for our youth. The cholera outbreak 2012 demonstrated the governments inability to handle a public health crisis. And now with Ebola, it is clear that this is a government that doesnt care for our people. Who would have confidence in this Government? Who could possibly believe that this wasteful, inefficient and corrupt government could ever change? Well, apparently some individuals are only too happy to jump into bed with this failed and bankrupt government. I wonder why anyone who champions the rights of our people to a basic standard of living could ever betray us by joining those who care so little for our plight.... God help us! For our so called leaders are abandoning us for the streets paved with gold. You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time. Abraham Lincoln.
