Bad news coming out of the Bronx tonight! Two NYPD offers were shot while attempting to pull over a robbery suspect who opened fire on them hitting one officer in the arm and the other officer in the back. We hope and pray the officers have a full and speedy recovery. TWO POLICE OFFICERS SHOT IN FORDHAM SECTION OF THE BRONX FORDHAM (WABC) -- Two police officers were shot in the Fordham section of the Bronx Monday night. It happened at E. 184th Street and Tiebout Avenue. The officers were apparently responding to a call about a robbery at the time of the shooting. The officers attempted to pull over the suspects vehicle but the driver refused to stop. The rental vehicle crashed, and police say the suspect got out and opened fire on officers, and then ran away. A revolver was recovered at the scene. One officer was shot in the arm, and the other officer was shot in the back. The officers were rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital.
