Badshah Bahadurshah Zafar was the last of Moghul Empire. He was not much of a ruler but a great poet. He was exiled by British to Burma where he died. He was reputed with two significant poems during his exile. One was Lagta nahin hai dil mera and the other one is this Na kisi ki Aankh ka noor hoon. I have given the lyrics of the poetry as sung by Md. Rafi in the film lal Quila and also made an attempt to loosely translate. It is impossible ( At least by me) to bring out the sentiment, emotion and sorrow in the translation, our prudent and discerning members would comprehend that. Also some of them with better knowledge of poetry, Zafar, English, Urudu / Hindi would be able to give better translation and understanding to me and to those like me.
