The recent CAF Confederation Cup return leg between Gambia’s Gamtel/ Gamcel FC against Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSAF) has cost the Gambia Football Federation a colossal amount over Four Hundred Thousand Dalasi (D400,000.00). According to reports reaching Sports View Newspaper, the air tickets, allowances and hotel bills of the four officials from Cape Verde namely referee António Rodrigues, first Assistant Referee Alvaro Cardoso, second Assistant Referee Luis Barbosa and 4th official: Manuel Timas Mendes, were settled by Mustapha Kebbeh led- GFF executive committee. Reports went further to disclose that the match commissioner from neighbouring country, Senegal, also got his ticket refunded as well as his allowances and hotel bills were also disbursed by Gambia Football Federation (GFF) as recommended by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
