Bakshi files nomination papers as NC candidate from Kathua JAMMU DECEMBER 03- Mr K K Bakshi on Wednesday filed his nomination papers as National Conference candidate for Kathua Assembly Constituency. State Vice President Th Kashmira Singh accompanied Mr Bakshi to the office of Additional Deputy Commissioner, who is the Returning Officer of the Constituency, for filing his papers. Later addressing huge rally of his supporters, Mrs Bakshi assured the people that being foot soldier of National Conference he will work with a missionary zeal to transform the constituency and put it on the path of fast track development. He said the effort calls for whole hearted support of the people, adding that given their goodwill he was optimistic about a massive mandate for the party to form the government. “Stable government alone would take Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh to a new era of development and progress”, Mr Bakshi maintained. Addressing the gathering, Th Kashmira Singh assailed Bharatiya Janata Party for dividing the people on the name of religion and said their attempts to vitiate the atmosphere will not be allowed to succeed. He said the people of the state inherit a rich legacy of harmony and those trying to trample it will face the wrath of all segments of society. “Frustrated over the prospect of rejection, the BJP and PDP were indulging in rhetoric and disinformation campaign”, he said adding that the people were sagacious enough to see through their game plan. Mr Singh said National Conference believes in holistic and inclusive development of all the three regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh besides their sub regions. He enumerated the path breaking initiatives of the Omar led government during the past six years, saying these have enabled the state to consolidate in each sector of development. “Next six years will be to consolidate the gains and take up new projects with a avowed objective of enhancing the quality of life of the people”, he added. Prominent among those present on the occasion included Dhian Chand, Ravinder Singh, JP Singh, Neelam Sharma, Ashu Rajput, Anju Sharma, Subash, Azia, Karam-ud-Din and others.
