Balanced thinking... Retraining your brain to generate automatic Optimistic thoughts by reciting Affirmations over and over again may not ultimately change your thinking if you dont start with Affirmations that include balanced thinking. Balances thoughts used in Affirmations are ones that look realistically at your self and situation. Example: If you do not think you are beautiful or handsome then saying Affirmations like I am beautiful or handsome! may just be dismissed by you. You reached too far up the Optimistic ladder. Start of slowly... Start with Affirmations like I have a beautiful smile. I have a handsome chin. I am fit. I am full figured and some people do really like that. I have nice hair. I have no hair and many ladies like guys with little or no hair. I take care of myself as best I can and that is acceptable. As you make your way up the Optimistic ladder you can eventually say ...therefore I AM beautiful. Slow and steady wins the race. Balanced Optimistic thoughts are they key!
