Balboa Park Celebration, Inc. [BPCI I] and Balboa Park Conservancy, Inc. [BPCI II] Debacle update, as of 7:30 am on 1 April, 2014: Just got an E. Mail from Mayor Faulconer and Council President Todd Gloria apologizing for lack of openness and transparency in this entire process. They will jointly announce at a morning Press Conference today that the City will retain full jurisdiction and authority over the events for 2015 [NO more BPCI I or II involvement], and Donna Frye, Bruce Coons of SOHO and Carolyn Wormser of the City Special Events office will be co-chairs for 2015.
