Balochistan has no human resource policy. The central government - TopicsExpress

Balochistan has no human resource policy. The central government avoided it for decades. The situation for those pashtuns who are leaving Balochistan for education is tensed. They are not going to have jobs after completing their degrees. The success stories are few and the majority are going to face the psychological stress of unemployment. The worst part of this condition is that they are going to face trust deficit from their own families, relatives and towns; everyone is waiting for them to come with authoritarian self, a job of civil service and power. Peghor is already waiting for them. The academic excellence, that is going for higher eduction, is also not going to help them as Balochistan has only few universities and colleges. All of them cant be employed. They are realizing their condition and have few options left: to stay in Lahore, Islamabad or Pindi, to start a business or to go back home and face challenges. They are also thinking to change their thinking patterns; public relationships, political affiliations, bureaucratic reach and money can ensure our future. One can only think what disaster is coming with such strategy. Politics, NGOs and Journalism are not their favorites. Politics is highly a risky option; neither their family members nor the society (living under the hegemony of Talibans) give them chance to become politicians. This is highly dangerous as most of the political conscious minds are going to loose their intellect; they neither have space in the traditional hierarchies of political parties not a source of encouragement. They have to communicate with their own insecurities, fear and uncertain future. They have to win the trust of their family members that we are not going to have jobs soon and easily. They are either to compromise or to rethink over their futuristic designs. They are either to go back to home or to give further sacrifices of staying in Lahore, Islamabad or Pindi (to do business, to join NGOs or to do other jobs). They are either to wait in vain for a better future (which we dont see is coming) or to resist the oppressive strategies of state which have caused our fate of the present condition; going far from home for years and living among others in the age of youth is a suffering. These years are never going to be forgotten; almost each individual student has spent more than 5 years. Either we are conformist in such conditions or to betray our own conscious will, one must remember that our life practices of the youth are driven from the oppressive strategies of state. Either we are going to become state functionaries or to serve our own will, we should remember that back there at home what our people deserve and what this state deserves! We cant simply transcend the course of present constructions nor we are going to construct another heaven; one must carry the perpetual burden of exploitation of self and the known. We must start thinking collectively (or even individually) that refuge in such conditions carry intact exploitation until resisted!
