Balochistan: minority MPA shot dead in Quetta QUETTA: A minority member of the Balochistan Assembly Handery Masieh was gunned down by his own security guard in Quetta on Saturday. National Party’s Masieh was reportedly shot twice in his neck and chest outside his residence in Nawan Killi — located in the suburbs of Quetta. He was shifted to the Civil Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries. His nephew was also injured in the attack. Police sources said the bodyguard had some personal dispute with Masiehs nephew and both had a brawl outside the residence of the lawmaker. “The bodyguard opened fire on the nephew as Masieh came out of his home to stop him. He was hit in the neck and died on the way to hospital. This was for the first time in the history of Balochistan that any minority legislator was targeted. Police sources have confirmed that the suspect has now been arrested.
