Baltimores fan base, given the national stage last night along with the opportunity to make a powerful statement about its moral compass, sure did. We now know it doesnt have one. As a group, Ravens fans sided with petty team loyalty over self-respect and dignity. Its reasonable to extrapolate that plenty of local women are the routine victims of domestic violence. And, the lesson they and their abusers received last night is that the state of Ravens fans collective conscience is such that theyll only be moved to action, if its convenient. The story has moved beyond Ray Rice and to you and your callous indifference. Baltimores fans arent sophisticated enough to see through the NFLs slick propaganda, including a series of interviews designed to showcase its new network Thursday night TV franchise. Heres hoping your mother, sister or daughter isnt the next victim.
