Bandera and Run Lovit training begins...10 Horrible half repeats up and down the escarpment at CRP, wasnt really quite planning to do this, but the rest of the trails were too muddy and slick when I started on my traditional route. Woke up late in the morning, barely had anything to eat before the run, and only took 3 gels during...was very dizzy by the end with the lack of nutrition, fun :P Probably will try another 10+ miles of horrible halfs tomorrow, and then every weekend thereafter...*sigh* Meeting my goals on those two races would be worth it. Oh, and I exchanged my Garmin Fenix for the 910XT, btw, was not happy with the Fenixs poor battery life; no where near the advertized 16 hours, could barely get 8 hours out of it on run mode, I think all the sensors on that watch drains the batteries like crazy, and you would have to turn down the GPS pinging intervals way down to get any significant battery life out of it. Shame, the Fenix was quite a handsome everyday watch, unlike the blocky 910XT, but Im happy with the switch, the 910XT battery life is awesome, have put around 9 hours on it so far and the battery is still on the third bar! The 910XT also has real-time mapping capabilities, the main reason why I wanted the Fenix, granted its very basic, without all the customization features of the Fenix, but Ill take the tradeoffs for a 20Hr battery life. connect.garmin/activity/407923769
