Bank of America should be embarrassed by this attempt to prosecute a man for free speech using an eager DA. They were already spending a fortune to repair a bad reputation and some low level short sighted idiot decided this was a good way to protect their image. I think the most important point is that there was actually a judge willing to hear this case. A man writing ideas in chalk on a sidewalk is not defacing public property any more than a man speaking from a “soapbox” causes noise pollution. We did not need a court case to set this precedent; it should be simple common sense. This smells like the rot of politically correct thinking.
