Bankruptcy Court Fee Increases Effective June 1, 2014 The Judicial Conference has approved changes to the federal court miscellaneous fee schedules. On Sunday, June 1, 2014, the following fees for bankruptcy matters will rise. 1. Adversary case filing fees will rise from $293 to $350 2. The administrative fee for filing a Chapter 7 petition will increase from $46 to $75, increasing the total fee for a new or split Chapter 7 case from $306 to $335. 3. The administrative fee for filing a Chapter 12 petition will increase from $46 to $75, increasing the total fee for a new or split Chapter 12 case from $246 to $275. 4. The administrative fee for filing a Chapter 13 petition will increase from $46 to $75, increasing the total fee for a new or split Chapter 13 case from $281 to $310. 5. The administrative fee for filing a petition under Chapters 9, 11 or 15 will increase from $46 to $550, increasing the total fee for such cases from $1213 to $1717. The Court will be updating its Schedule of Fees to reflect these changes before the end of May, and the new fees will be applied as described above to affected activity beginning June 1, 2014.
