Banners knee this morning: It is looking better but that is deceiving. He is still very sore. We are currently awaiting culture results to see what we are missing...and what needs to be treated. Doc thought he may have a fungus on top of the bacterial infection or he may have had a reaction to the gentamicin flushes (thus the reason for no improvement and only worsening of lameness). I crushed some Protandim (all natural supplement for humans...) and gave that to him last night. Ill continue that for 5 more days. He did hobble over to me this morning which he hadnt done the last 3 days. He starts his SmartFlex Rehab supplement and Back on Track Therapeutic Knee Boot treatments tonight. I am still poulticing every 12 hours with animalintex soaked in hot water after his 6 1/2 minutes of hydrotherapy. He will receive his second shot of Excede tomorrow morning. Hes such a good patient.
