Baptists and Seventh Day Adventists align almost identically doctrinally concerning the Godhead, the Deity of Jesus Christ, Jesus’ atonment, the Virgin Birth, et cetera. Thats because it was started by a Baptist preacher who set a rapture date and started a movement based on this prophecy. He later repented when the prophesy failed, but his associate Ellen G. White saw it was just too good of a gig to quit. A lot of SDA teachings are very similar to mainline denominations, in fact, some writers such as Walter Martin have made the fatal mistake of identifying the SDAs as a Christian cult. My friend, there is NO such thing as a “Christian cult.” The SDA are actually a masonic sect that worships Ellen G. White. They place her prophecies above the authority of scripture,the main false prophecy of hers corrupts the work of Christs propitiation. In order to cover for the failed rapture date Ellen G. White claimed that she had misinterpreted the vision,and instead of it having been meant to be a rapture it was instead a prophecy of the date Christ entered the Holy of Holies to sprinkle his blood on the mercy seat in order to finish the work of atonement and cleansing of the temple. This is a false gospel by a false prophet who wrote an encyclopedic work of false prophecies which they all highly treasure as revelation from God. All SDA followers must adhere to Ellen G.
