Barack is a handsome fella at the perfect age of 5, he is past the puppy crazies and has a sophisticated charm. When Barack came into the ACC he was a bit freaked out by the medical exam. I don’t blame him who would want strangers poking and prodding you after you lost your family. Poor guy. On the bright side he did do amazing on his safer and should in fact be AVERAGE rated, however ACC decided to give him an Experienced rating due to his medical behavior. Barack is a real looker, he has a glossy black coat that would give any superhero a run for his money. Barack like any other superhero sometimes needs saving, needs you to be his hero tonight; he is in desperate need of a home to go to tomorrow or he will die. He deserves another chance, let’s not let him end up being a statistic of yet another black dog dying at the shelter. Adopt or Foster Barack today and save his life! You won’t regret it, what are you waiting for? Save Barack! A volunteer writes: Handsome Barack was found as a stray. I kept passing in front of his kennel and not taking him out, just talking to him and throwing him a treat. He looked so shy and even scared laying at the back of his den. A staff told me that he was fine to take out and I took her word for it. She was so right...Barack is a gentle and sweet dog, quite timid at the beginning of our time together than more outgoing although reserved. He walks very nicely on the leash, relieves himself right away after leaving the building. He salutes in a very nice way every dog met on the street or located in pens in the yard. I wish it was always like this... Leash free, Barack comes when I call him and sits by my side, very quietly. He looks at me with very sweet eyes. What a gorgeous pooch he is, shiny ebony, the right weight and healthy. Barack loves to be petted and scratched between the eyes and behind the ears. I can hear little snorting sounds. Who would have thought that a dog who came in so frighten and acting out as a result, would behave just like a little Poodle? Well, this is Barack...
