Barbara Jordan said SOMEHOW I felt that George Washington and Alexander Hamilton just left me out by mistake. But through the process of amendment, interpretation, and court decision, I have finally been included in the WE, the people Those that fought to gain this all important status for those of us that ended up in this country against our will, have to be wondering if it was worth the fight.African Americans have matriculated college programs with far more success than ever dreamed, yet WE continue to fall further and further behind the success of the main stream WHY? Is it because the external actions that Ms. Jordan spoke of didnt really include us in the We, the people? Too many people that look like me think that they have the same rights and access as those that look other than me. we spend too much time trying to be Americanswhen no matter what we do, well never be accepted. What black folk need to do is to stop trying to fit in and concentrate on extracting as much from this society as possible and going on about our business. we dont have the numbers to stop this attack and liberal whites are getting tired of protecting Cousin Pookie (aint that what Obama called them?) Have anybody ever stopped and considered that it took 100 years to get legislation passed to actually make what Linclon did in the Emancipation Proclamation? no other Presidential order or Amendment to the Constitution EVER took that long to get laws to make the original law work! Ever thought about that? Folks, want to enjoy life, then heres the solution: GET ALL YOU CAN CAN ALL YOU GET then SIT ON THE CAN! Its all about extraction. Guess what, thats why theres no jobs in this booming economy!!!
