Barbara Nerenz-Kelley has asked me to participate in this challenge whereby an artist posts three pieces for 5 days and also nominates others to participate. I am nominating Nell Tilton to join this process. Looking forward to seeing Nells work! The ones below are early pieces of mine. Drawing is my touchstone. I spent 10 years running one of the figure studios at The NO Academy of Fine Arts. It was heaven. The figure remains my favorite thing to draw. The painted single figure was my first move toward abstraction insofar as the colors werent representative. Thank you Barbara, for the invitation!
