Barbara update; Setback! We hd planned on trying to go to church Sunday. got barb dressed inher sunday best and got her makeup on and hair combed. but, when it was almost time to go, she had a bathroom accident and appeared to be a little rocky on her feet, so, we optd not to go. The Alacare nurse was here yesterday and did a great job processing Barb in. But, as the evening wore on, Barbara got increasingly weak in her legs -particularly on her left one. We were able to get her upstairs and into bed. This morning I brought the wheelchair upstairs and when I got her out of the bed I just put her in the chair. She is still in her pajamas. Now, when she has to go to the bathroom she only has to make it from the bathroom door to the toilet. She will probably stay upstairs all day. The first of the Alacare therapists will probably be here tomorrow. She is scheduled for physical, occupational and speech therapy as well as nurse visits. Alacare is scheduled for nine weeks and then will be evaluated.
