Bare iPhone 6 Logic Board Surfaces, Claimed to Support NFC and 802.11ac Wi-Fi Linguo: - Logic Board: thats the iPhones electronic board holding all the important components (mainly chips and ICs). Computers have large mother boards while phones have smaller boards called logic board. - NFC: stands for Near Field Communications, meaning the iPhone will be able to communicate via radio waves with a transceiver (emitter/receptor) near by. This is used for example in mobile payment where the phone can be used instead of a credit card. NFC is already available from other manufacturers such as Samsung. - 802.11ac Wi-Fi: to use Wi-Fi, every device has to have a Wi-Fi chip on the logic board, and an antenna. The latest chips on the iPhone 6, if confirmed, will allow for 2x faster transfer of information between the phone and the router while consuming 25% less from your battery for this task. Too bad in Lebanon the Internet is so slow (we think it should be called ontor-net) that doubling and tripling the Wi-Fi speed of the iPhone will not make a difference :(( You can read more about all the above and more here:
