Base on the Performance of the Super Eagles against Iran on the ongoing world cup, the Presidency has blamed the opposition party of changing the goal post each time Eagles want to score inorder to score a cheap political point of discrediting the presidency for non performance in the area of sports. To forestall the occurance in the future, the presidency has set up a presidential committee that will spell out the modalities that will make the Eagles win their next matches and has promise Nigerians that he will make sure that the Eagles win the world cup even if it mean negotiating with FIFA or using ASUU and ASUP as strike team. In reaction to the statement, the consensus presidential candidate of the opposition party, Gen Mamammadu Buhari accused the President for the goaless scores on the ground that the President is not present at the tournament to cheer the Eagles up and the boys could not perform well because the President is an Arsenal fan instead of joining a winning Club like Queen of England did. Gen. Buhari has therefore call on all Nigerians to vote out PDP and enthrone APC as a panacea to win the next world cup and has therefore promise that his party will deliver the world cup if voted in 2015. Gen. Buhari also threaten that if his party is voted and FIFA didnt give the world cup to Nigerian that there would be no world cup tournament again because is a western game that is against his belief and of Nigerians in general (Northern Nigeria). In a similiar development, the President of CAN has call on all christian in the world cup to be prayerful because the reason the eagles could not win the match is because most of the players that played against Iran are christian and mostly Southerners which are being marginalised because they are playing against Iran Muslims. In reaction to CAN statement, the President of islamic clerics and leaders has blamed christians of making utterances that is capable of igniting jihad war in Nigeria and therefore stated that Nigeria could not win Iran because Allah can not support christianity to win Iran Muslim.
