Based on numerous forecasts for substantial amounts of snow accumulation and blizzard conditions Monday afternoon (1/26/15) through Tuesday evening (1/27/15), Mayor William Akers has declared a snow emergency. Residents and property owners are advised to remove all vehicles from public streets no later than 6:00 P.M. this evening (Monday 1/26/15) so that snow plow operations are not impeded. The parking prohibition shall remain in effect for 24 hours after the snow has ceased falling. You are encouraged to move your vehicle to appropriate off-street parking areas or to the public parking lot on Grant Avenue. Municipal offices will be open today at 8:30 A.M. However, the offices may close early depending on the prevailing weather conditions throughout the morning and afternoon. More information will be posted here as it becomes available.
