Based upon the latest forecast information related to the impending storm, all day and evening classes and activities at all campuses of Suffolk County Community College will be cancelled for TUESDAY, January 27th and WEDNESDAY, January 28th. All Public Safety and Plant Operations staff members essential to bringing the College back into full operation are expected to report to work. The respective Campus Executive Deans will communicate with Plant Operations Directors regarding responsibility for storm preparation and resumption of normal operations following the storm. The cancellation of classes does not impact the normal business operations of the College. All employees must report to work or utilize appropriate accruals (non sick leave accruals unless appropriate documentation is produced) to take a day off with the prior approval of their supervisor/Campus Dean. As a reminder, weather-related class cancellations will be communicated via New York Alert and on local radio (WBLI, WBAB, WALK, and WLNG) and television (News 12) stations as part of storm center coverage. You can also access information on the College’s website (sunysuffolk.edu), Twitter feed (SUNYSFLK) and Facebook page (SUNYSFLK). We will share additional information as necessary.
