Basic courtesy violations that slowed me down today: 1.) If there are several people waiting to get fuel, move your car when you are finished. Dont make people wait while you pay for your gas and decide on what soda you want inside. 2.) If there are people behind you in line at the register, kindly move aside while you scratch off your newly purchased lottery tickets. I know you took the time to put on your pajamas and go to store, but I have places to be. 3.) If you are in a line of cars waiting for a train to pass, dont block an intersection. Now two directions of travel are stopped and have to wait on the train. 4.) If you come to place of business and ask for an application, go the extra mile and dont wear a sleeveless undershirt, pajama pants and house shoes. Oh, and its a good practice to not come in cussing someone loudly on your cell phone. While Im at it, bring your own pen as well. 5.) If you are checking out at a grocery store, or anywhere for that matter, and are paying with a check... Go ahead and get your check out and start filling it out while the cashier is scanning all your stuff. Again, I have places to be and this process can be streamlined quite easily. And lastly, 6) If you are a business and you know that your credit/debit card machine is not working, put a sign on the door. Dont make me wait in line behind someone who scratches off their lottery tickets then behind someone else who has to dig out their checkbook, after scanning all the merchandise, only to tell me the machine is down. I couldve got my Yoo-Hoo and peanut butter crackers somewhere else.
