Basic kitchen rules they never tell you when youre training. 1) sweetcorn on the cob or on its own is fine, but if you mix it with stuff and cook it together it *will* look like vomit. 2) no matter how pretty a vegetable terrine may look, it will always taste like shit. 3) the greater the time pressure, the greater the likelihood that whatever essential piece of equipment you cannot do the job without will either break or go missing. 4) Come on guys - fill in the rest! What else should people know but never get taught?
