Bass player Tim Drummond passed away yesterday, January 11, 2015. Drummond toured and recorded with many artists including James Brown, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, J. J. Cale, Miles Davis and many others. He often played as part of the session rhythm with drummer Jim Keltner. Drummond first played with Dylan at the SNACK Benefit in 1975. At the end of the 1970s, he went out on the gospel tours. Drummond was the bass player on “Slow Train Coming”, “Saved” (the title track is a joint composition by Dylan and Drummond) and “Shot of Love”.
