Bat has been asked as to where so many clothes, books, and other relief items are to be donated.. so, off the top off my head, here are some (but not all) of the recipients and organizations well be swooping in on with goodies and holiday cheer! 1. xkmph Kolkata will be holding its annual Xmas bike ride on the 25th, during which we will approach homeless people in 8-10 parts of the city. For further details regarding the ride, in the event that you are a biker with a license and a helmet, please connect with the good Ramneek Singh. 2. The Mulvany Old Age Home has been close to the Bats heart ever since their food sponsor abandoned them. We will visit the old ladies there and share gifts, warm things, and spend some time entertaining the ladies. For further information, please inbox the Bat, aka me. 3. The Tata Medical Center, Blind School Behala, and Thakurpukur Cancer Hospital will be receiving some items as well; we are waiting for them to revert with their requirements since we dont want to barge in somewhere with unrequired things. If you know of any organizations or people who need something, CONNECT here!! 4. Arunima Chatterjee and Bat are coordinating with people in her para, as there are some kids there who will need warm clothes at least, if not school supplies and shoes. 5. Various mini-bastis around the Salt Lake, Lake Town/VIP Road area will be targeted. As nuts as it sounds, Bat will randomly hand over a care package to a someone if they look cold, vulnerable, hungry etc. 6. A cluster of villages in Orissa which have been largely ignored post-Cyclone Phailin.. this relief work has been ongoing for a year now, and photographs of relief material distribution can be viewed (will share link in the comments section). 7. My diligent, super awesome Hemley Gonzalez and his organization, Responsible Charity, will also receive more items (we sent them a few already, but theres lots more on the way). 8. Also in the process of communicating with 5 organizations and will mention their names once we have a confirmation of their interest and involvement in this.
