( Batman, continued) ......... So Donna gets on the phone to call the police. Im asking her if she could hold off as there are 3 able bodied men in the house (if you count me, since Im so afraid of bats, LOL) and well look stupid if the police show up. But theres no stopping Donna at this point. If she couldve called the Marines and ordered air strikes she wouldve. Shes so scared, however, that when she gets the police she can barely talk and I have to actually supply her with words. Hi, my name is Donna Mi, Donna, Donna Mi (Donna Micalizzi ! Youre Donna Micalizzi !!!) Ugh, yeah, Im Donna Micalizzi. We have a, we have a, in our house (Don, we have a BAT in our house ! We have a BAT in our house !!!). Yes, officer we have a, b, b, bat in our house !!! My son Daren went out back to get a nu, nu, nu (He went to get a NET ! Don ! He went to get a NET !!!). And the conversation went on and on like this. I was stressed out and scared but the fact that Donna couldnt speak was actually making me laugh. So Donna gives the cops the code to the garage door (after initially giving them the wrong code, of course, because she was so scared she couldnt remember the code) and the code to get into the house. Two policemen then enter the house and after awhile we all leave our rooms and were CAUTIOUSLY searching (except Donna, shes holed up in the bedroom) --------- but we cant find the bat. The police eventually leave, they wish us luck, and we all lock ourselves in our rooms with the cat patrolling the house. I finally get to sleep by maybe 4 or 4:30 and wake up at 5:40 to get ready for work. Before I leave I look everywhere, I never let my guard down, but no bat. I get a call at noon. The bat was hiding in the upstairs bathtub drain, Daren caught it in a towel, and let it go outside. The pest control person said we all have to get rabies shots !
