Batten down the hatches! Stay safe everyone... From Rick McCoy: Flash Flood Watch in effect until Midnight tonight. Showers & thundershowers moving into the area this morning and continuing into this evening. All areas locally will see in excess of 1 inch with forecasts showing 2 to 3 inches possible with isolated areas up to 4 inches. Big question is still Severe Weather Threat later today. If we can get a period later this afternoon of some clearing to destabilize the atmosphere as the cold front approaches, then severe weather can develop. Will have to monitor conditions this afternoon to see how this comes together. The time frame if severe weather can develop would probably be around 8:00pm. Later updates will be forthcoming.
