Bayer is suing the European Commission in order to bring back neonicotinoids to farming - the pesticides that have been killing our bees. Bayer want the EC to overturn the ban on these pesticides that are killing millions of bees around the world. Here in the UK we did all that we can to make sure these pesticides are kept out of our farming systems; protesting, signing petitions, lobbying the government, planting bee-friendly seeds in our gardens and showing our support for our pollinators. And we succeeded when the EU announced a 2 year moratorium on the use of neonicotinoids earlier this year. Now, Bayer and Syngenta, two of the worlds largest chemical corporations, claim that the ban is unjustified and disproportionate. ...
