Be Concerned We have become the same kind of church as those of days gone by, the days when Pharisees ruled, and the rigidity of the law, stands with those who think they’re without sin, or at least, sin not worth mentioning. Joh 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. Have we become so immune to seeing our sinful selves, yet so quick to point out others sins that we wish to return to yesterday’s stoning of others. That’s exactly what has gone on and still is going on today! We have become like the Pharisees, with our self-imposing noble noses so high in the air that we can’t or we refuse to see Christ’s shed blood, for others. What do I mean by that; Mat 26:26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. Mat 26:27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; Mat 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Mar 14:22 And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body. Mar 14:23 And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it. Mar 14:24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many. Luk 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Luk 22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. The cup is the New Testament, and that New Testament is founded on grace and forgiveness, which is an awesome act of love. Are we aware that if we forsake this grace for others, and deny them of forgiveness, we set ourselves up to incur the wrath of God? Luk 22:22 And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed! We betray Christ’s sacrifice when we forsake grace, whether receiving or giving, I can’t speak for anyone else, but that puts a deeper reverential fear of God in me. 1Co 11:27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 1Co 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 1Co 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lords body. This New Testament is also known as the dispensation of grace and because of this grace, we must remember to hold our place, without arrogance. Rom 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Paul warned us to make sure not to get to heady, and to know for certain, who and what is being built on Christ’s foundation, whether truth or illusion. 1Co 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. We are called to walk in the Spirit, paying close attention to the Holy Spirit, which teaches us truth and no lie, though many say they are, if truth is lacking, then they’re deceived. Grace given and received is our ticket to freedom, in order for that to work appropriately, grace must be built entirely on Jesus Christ, the way, truth, and life of God. That being said; then all we do should be from God’s truth unto righteousness; 1Co 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. Living in sin does not cause grace to abound greater, that it might cover our willful sin, or sin with intent. Grace is the freedom to learn from our mistakes, even if we are chastised for those mistakes, without reaping the condemnation of God’s wrath. Rom 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. Rom 5:16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. Rom 5:17 For if by one mans offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Rom 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. Rom 5:19 For as by one mans disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Rom 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: Rom 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. So many treat grace as grease, in their receiving, but in their giving, they will not give grace, they are faulted, without ears to hear, but definitely have mouths to condemn. There are many who believe incorrectly that if one walks in the righteousness of Christ, led by the Spirit, they walk not according to grace but rather to works. Rom 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. Rom 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. Rom 11:7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded Rom 11:8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day. There is little if anything we can do for them, and that includes the wanton desire to smack them upside the head with a 2x4 to wake them up. That being said; we still must keep them in prayer that somehow, someway, they will awaken and begin to fall in line with the truth of God’s Word. We need to be concerned with our salvation and examining ourselves, are we giving grace and is that grace based on God’s love in truth. This Christian life is not an easy life, but once the mindset changes and the heart of stone is traded in for a heart of flesh, then we can see more clearly, not with human eyes, but eyes opened wide by God, the Father of truth, love, and the perfect way. Let us each examine ourselves, even seeking God to show us any hurtful or wicked way in us that we might repent of being our normal flawed selves and walk this earth in the image and likeness of Christ, Amen!!!
