Be Prepared He doesn’t laugh this time, he feels conviction Going with the flow has become an addiction He’s wants to share the gospel, he wants to take a stand But he feels like he’s standing on shifting sand He doesn’t spend a whole lot of time in God’s holy word And he only recalls a portion of the sermons he’s heard So he’s really not ready to be an effective witness And he doesn’t know what steps he can take to change this She’s not joining in on their conversation today So they start to stare at her in an interrogative way She trembles in fear, and doesn’t know what to do As they wait for the submission of her point of view She wants to share the gospel, she wants them to know She’s doesn’t want to cower and just go with the flow But she doesn’t feel equipped, she doesn’t feel prepared She’s nervous, intimidated, wide-eyed, and scared If you are a Christian, a new creation, You must build yourself a firm foundation If you want to be an effective witness It is necessary for you to do this You must abundantly store God’s word in your heart And from its sound guidance you must not depart You must live by faith, and be led of the Spirit Then proclaim the truth and others will hear it Don’t take for granted the work that you’ve been called to You need to do the absolute best that you can do Tell others about Jesus, make His truth heard! Proclaim it in action and proclaim it in word! Go forth! Walk by faith and not by sight! Go out in the dark and shine really bright! Be strong! Be courageous! Have no fear!
