Be critical. Cultivate your bullshit detector. At some point being critical has been conflated with being judgmental. This is incorrect. In order to be judgmental (which in and of itself is NOT a bad thing), you should think critically about the ideas that you believe to be true and subject them to some non-emotional analysis. For some reason, being critical and consequently (although not necessarily judgmental) have both been deemed as hateful or mocking. They arent. Believe what you want to believe, but please hold yourself to a higher standard when proliferating your ideologies. Nothing good comes from mindless assent.
