Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21 Many times after a disagreement (nice word for argument), we find ourselves being regretful that we became angry during the exchange of words. You started out being nice, but was overcome with anger and frustration. What happened? Gods Word tells us that its because we become focused on winning the argument, or avenging ourselves, instead of allowing others to see the good of Christ in us! Why is it so important who wins? Are you keeping score? Jesus never argued with those that arrested Him and later crucified Him, because His sacrifice was more important, in order for others to be saved. It takes two for an argument, so why not be the one to sacrifice...and walk away. Overcome evil with good, and you might just save someone...and yourself!
