Be still and know.. I spent last night in the company of a friend I met recently, who didnt really have anyone to ring the new year in with. In discussing the recent changes in my life with him, he offered a wonderful, but brief message with some certain instructions. Be still and know.. Let us now go back to the root of this amazing little instruction and see how it applies to the new years changes, good and bad. Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth. No matter what is going on in the world today.. war, sickness, broken lives and hearts.. we can trust our God has this all planned out in accordance to His will. Now the same applies to when things are going great! We must also be still and know that He is the provider, the one who makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him! Hebrews 13:20-21 20) Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, (21) equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! God bless us all as we go into the world this year.. let it be our desire to plant more seeds for the kingdom of our loving God!
