Macy Ricketts Adventure is Out There: Photos of Glacier National Park climate change research through the eyes of a twenty-something. About the Photographer Macy Ricketts is a sophomore studying Molecular Biology and Technical Communication at MontanaTech in Butte. She spent the past summer working as a research assistant with Professor Martha Apple, Ph.D Botany, in Glacier National Park. Dr. Apple is part of the GLORIA (Global Observation Research Initiative in Alpine Environments) project, an international network of scientists studying rare alpine plants and climate change. Macy grew up in Livingston, Montana, where she was a feature writer for the local newspaper and became connected with the natural world on outings with her family. In her free time, Macy enjoys hiking, fly fishing and playing guitar.
