Bea and I had a bit of a scare very early Saturday morning before we left Florida to come home. About 3 AM I wake to light tapping on our door. The kind that housekeeping does when they are about to come in to clean. I sit up in bed and listen. Tapping again. Reach over and get my gun. Tapping again. I yell VERY LOUDLY for Beverly to wake up and scare her half to death, but I want them to hear me. Tapping again. I aim at the door and yell GO AWAY NOW!!!!!!!! One more tapping. I scream GO AWAY NOW I HAVE A GUN!!!!!! No more tapping. Whoever it was has no idea how close they came. This morning, waking up, safe at home, I now have the scared in the pit of my stomach feeling. They dodged a bullet and maybe so did we. Ladies and men....get your carry permit!!!!! People are crazy out there. And it only takes one!!!!!!!!
