Beach Safety & Surf Report Thursday July 4TH 2013 Happy Independence Day! RED FLAG for HIGH HAZARD SURF CONDITIONS ACTIVE LIGHTNING strikes within 5miles 3-5 ft. Rough Surf Conditions, Expected to build slightly throughout the day A low pressure system has continued so sit right ontop of Okaloosa County today, creating very dangerous conditions all throughout the county. Rough Surf will be present all along the coast throughout today and tomorrow. Only experienced surfers and boogie boarders with fins should enter the water. All swimmers and bathers need to stay high out of the water today, and above the high tide mark as strong backwash currents can pull even the strongest person off their feet and into the dangerous conditions. Remember if you see someone in trouble, do not enter the water!
