Bears have made first hostile action. We made a secondary fence around my chicken coop yesterday to provide a little extra security. .. bear knocked over the fence and tore off the roof then went after the girls. Refused to leave until we provided a little .20 g encouragement. After we put the girls in the garage he revisited and chewed a hole through the run. Double layered hot wire perimeter has been established and the roof has be reinforced and bracketed down. Let the war begin!
