Beatles live. Great sound and video. Guaranteed I know someone who once saw them but couldnt hear a thing. I like this version of I Saw Her Standing There because it gives us a clue as to how good these lads were. The band are rocking and so is the audience. Its addictive. Its reassuringly amateur and you hear both Paul and John slip in an out of the vocal action but Johns angry Rickenbacker guitar strumming dominates the whole sound. Its a McCartney song but Lennon provides the relentless driving rhythm that makes this a rock and roll classic. It is unrelenting and lifts you to another planet for just under 3 minutes. It sounds fresh even after 40 years and my Ma and Da loved them and so did Granny. This one is best heard loud. As loud as you can stand. Id give my right arm for a Rickenbacker guitar after listening to this. I hope Santa is a John Lennon fan.
