Beau needs help!!! Beau was found Sunday morning on Rainbow Drive near Lancaster. He was pale, bloody and mangled. His hip seemed to be out of place and he was seriously malnourished. Before the rescuer could get him to the Dailey Emergency Veterinary clinic he ingested most of his tail probably due to pain. Beaus tailbone is now protruding. He received a blood transfusion, fluids, X-rays, pain medication and antibiotics. The X-rays showed a rear leg fracture and hip out of socket. The was over $1500. He is now at Lancaster animal clinic to get stronger and awaiting surgery on his tail. Doctors have not yet determined what surgery is needed on his leg or if it will need to be amputated. At this time we do not know how much more his care will cost. If the remnants of his tail do not pass out of his system naturally, they will have to be surgically removed.
