Beautiful People of Facebookland: Maybe some of you are going on diets as your (secret or not-so-secret) New Years Resolution. Please consider these thoughts regarding diet: 1. We become what we eat. Was the food that you are eating scared or poisoned before its life was removed from its body? The emotional state of our food effects our own life-energy. Try giving up commercially processed meats for a time. How does it affect you? 2. We need fat to function. Are you consciously choosing the lipids you consume? The body requires fat for many essential functions, including the production of hormones, assimilation of vitamins, and for healthy nervous function. Try finding a way to add an eighth of a cup of unheated olive, avocado, walnut, or coconut oil to your daily food intake. I bet it will make you feel warm and strangely satisfied! 3. Eat your veggies. Bodies do best when they are nourished with plant matter (that has not been over-cooked). One would be well-advised to consume two-thirds of the diet as raw and lightly cooked greens and vegetables. 4. Vote for positive change with your dollars! Which stores and producers take an active role in supporting the worldwide and local communities? Which ones dont? Support the companies that align with your ethics. Starve the ones that dont. By spending an extra seventy-five cents on locally-grown organic parsley, organic producers are supported. What were you going to do with that seventy-five cents, anyways? Lose it in the ashtray? Put it toward gasoline? Smoke it? Buy cheap crap from China? You wont miss those things, I promise. 5. Focus on new, positive action. The old crap that you wish would change will one day just be gone - and youll wonder when it disappeared. Preachy little thing, arent I?
