Beautiful Start to a day, got up with a nagging urge to visit the rose room, tried to dismiss it, giving my self excuses like the camera battery is low, will go tomorrow etc, it kept nagging, So put on my flip flops grabbed the low battery camera and went, on reaching the Mother Teresas Rose Room opposite the Bandra post office, Sister Anna was at the Rose Room with a rose assisting her, just having finished feeding the homeless, for some reason I enquired if we had medical supplies and Only a moment later a man walked in bare foot with both legs covered in Dirty Bandages, you could make out he was in a lot of pain, right enough we were out of medical supplies, a quick stop by the chemist for bandages, savlon, cotton, soframycine, medical gloves, scissors and clean comfortable slippers and back, as Sister Anna began cleaning the mans wounds another man walked in, his foot was even worse off, disfigured wreaking of gangrene covered in a plastic bag to ward off flies. a second stop to the chemist - As Sister Anna removed the plastic bag and temporarily covered it in paper to cover it from the files as he awaited his turn while she tended to the first mans wounds the one thing that struck a chord in me was this man was homeless no money, covered in dirt and had a leg infected with gangrene and yet had one heck of a beautiful smile, we get burdened and loose hope with our problems, there is a lesson here somewhere.
